This course is designed to inform the student on how to identify different leathers and finishes to allow the correct cleaning process of leather.

The skill is in leather cleaning is the identification of the leather in question. Leather cleaning can be a very simple add on to any carpet and upholstery business.

Programme Schedule

  • Learning about the tanning process
  • How to identify different types of leather from Aniline through to Faux leathers
  • How to determine when it is cleanable, or in need of restoring or replacing
  • How to identify different finishes
  • How to clean leather upholstery (with demonstrations and hands on)

Course includes demonstrations and you will be provided with course notes and a set of leather samples.
