This privacy policy sets out how National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA/We/Us) uses and protects any information that you provide when using this website, completing/submitting a form or contacting the NCCA.

Definitions

Member – Company or individual that has completed application and subscription to the NCCA. Lawful Basis for processing of data – Contract.

Delegate – Company or individual that has booked or registered to attend a training course or event or complete an examination. Lawful Basis for processing of data – Contract.

Enquirer – Company or individual that has contacted the Association, submitted a form, made a complaint, left a message, or similar communication. Lawful Basis for processing of data – Consent.

For clarification a company or individual can be classified in more than one of these definitions.

What we collect

We may collect the following information from members, delegates, enquirers:

  • name and job title
  • contact information including email address
  • demographic information such as address, postcode, preferences and interests
  • other information relevant to the enquiry, request
  • other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

Members only, we may collect:

  • Further personal and/or demographic information, age, services, qualifications, accreditations, social media

Delegates only, we may collect:

  • Further personal information related to booking/registration, educational, dietary, location

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs, efficiently communicate, provide a satisfactory response to your requirements and improve our service, and in particular for the following reasons:

Internal record keeping.

Members and delegates only. We may periodically send promotional email about new products and services, training and events, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. You have the option to unsubscribe at any point via the links within email or by contacting the NCCA office direct. Please be aware this may affect our ability to provide some services in full.

Members only. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, or mail. We may use the information to improve our service and add features/benefits according to your interests. You are not obligated to participate.

Trusted Local Cleaners

Members only. Relevant data (including contact details, services and membership information) is published on the publicly available list of members in order to provide information/referrals to potential customers. Members may also add personal information to their own profile direct. This listing is for the sole purpose of providing member information to the public for work and technical related enquiries. Members can request temporary or permanent removal of their public listing by contacting the NCCA office at any point.

The NCCA disapproves of any use of the list by third parties for marketing or promotion and it is not directly provided in full or in part to any third parties by the NCCA.

Referrals

Customers may submit enquiries to members directly through Trusted Local Cleaners. Contact details, request and any more data provided will be passed to the member (third party) in order for them to respond. The NCCA tracks referral statistics but does not store or utilise submitted data for any other purpose.

Reviews

Customers may submit reviews for members listed on Trusted Local Cleaners. Your name and email address will be recorded and your name and review (but not email address) will be published. The NCCA may utilise submitted data if there is a specific query in relation to the review, but for no other purpose.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Payments

The NCCA utilises verified secure facilities to accept and process financial transactions. No financial data is stored once a transaction is complete.

How we use cookies
