Our three-day course combines hands-on experience with classroom education to give you a great foundation for carpet cleaning success – or top up your knowledge.

The course covers a wide array of cleaning methods, from basics to advanced topics, to equip attendees for different cleaning scenarios. That includes insights into the equipment and application processes for both carpet and upholstery cleaning, helping you choose the right methods for your needs and budget.

Upon completion, you’ll sit a multiple-choice paper with a Training Certificate for those who pass. We have a high first-time pass rate of around 80%. Unsuccessful students can sit a follow-up exam paper at home, free of charge.

Why choose the NCCA?
Established in 1968, the NCCA is the only nationally recognised trade association dedicated to the cleaning and maintenance of carpets, hard flooring and soft furnishings. We play an active part on the board of the British Cleaning Council. But that’s not all…
Always up to date
We stay in the know about the latest cleaning techniques, equipment, health and safety legislation, and best practices. Our course is constantly updated to ensure we’re always up to date and you only get the latest knowledge.
TrustMark approved
After a qualification period, NCCA members can join the Government-endorsed quality scheme, TrustMark. NCCA endorsement is the only route for carpet and floor cleaners to apply for TrustMark approval for work in and around the home.
Easy to reach location
Located in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, our course is accessible for everyone. Our central-England location is just twenty miles south of Birmingham with easy access to both the road network and the airport.
Unique apparatus
We are the only training provider in the UK with two working looms. This gives students an understanding of raw materials and how carpets are constructed, which is invaluable when learning how to clean them.
